X–Festival is een jaarlijks cross–disciplinair, visionair, inspirerend en stimulerend ideeën–festival op het kruispunt van wetenschap, technologie en kunst met het oog op een creatieve en duurzame toekomst.
X–Festival wil verschillende werelden samenbrengen, innovatie en creativiteit stimuleren via cross–overs, nieuwe grenzen en horizonten exploreren en een Big–Bang zijn voor reflectie en actie.
Essentieel voor het DNA van X–Festival zijn de ruimte voor kritische vraagstelling en debat en de ambitie om verder te reiken dan de vrijblijvendheid door het aanzetten en uitdagen tot creatieve actie.

Het thema van X–Festival 2019 is “LOOKING FURTHER”. Visionaire sprekers uit verschillende disciplines geven hun visie over de toekomst en/of stellen nieuwe ontwikkelingen en ideeën voor die een disruptieve impact kunnen hebben.
Een centrale vraag hierbij is hoe kan kruisbestuiving van disciplines de wereld op een positieve manier vorm geven? Welke (cross–over) out–of–the–boX ideeën van vandaag leiden tot de start–ups van morgen? Hoe kan je door ideeën uit verschillende werelden met elkaar te verbinden, planeet aarde mooier, creatiever en duurzamer maken?

X–Festival 2019 is er voor studenten, onderzoekers uit verschillende disciplines, beleidsmakers, architecten, kunstenaars, designers, ondernemers, pers en het brede publiek die geïnspireerd willen worden en de toekomst op een creatieve en out–of–the–box manier vorm willen geven.

The theme of X–Festival 2019 is "LOOKING FURTHER". Visionary speakers from different disciplines share their vision about the future and/or present fascinating novel developments and ideas that can have a disruptive impact.
A central question here is how can cross–fertilization of disciplines shape the world in a positive way? Which (cross–over) out–of–the–boX ideas of today lead to the start–ups of tomorrow? How can you connect ideas from different worlds, to make planet earth more beautiful, more creative and more sustainable?
